What kind of certif and mobileprovision did you used ?
Entreprise app-store ? Inhouse ?

I can’t make an .p12 file with the enterprise distribution .cer

NOTE: They’ve renamed iPhone Simulator to iOS Simulator so this rntmieal command doesn’t work anymore. You can still go into the folder manually (the path is provided in that rntmieal command) and just right click and select Make Alias and put the alias/shortcut wherever you want (like in your Applications folder).

This “hack” stopped working for me ever since I upgraded to OSX Lion and Xcode 4.3.1.

Anyone know how to fix this?

tip to others:
make sure that the CFBundleIdentifier string in the .plist matches the “Bundle Identifier” suffix of your provisioning profile.

Thanks for this solution, been looking for something simular for ages.

A few sidenodes:
– Use the ‘Deployment – Apple App store’ deployment type
– The author is talking about a .app, but CS5.5 only gives you a .ipa. Just rename the .ipa to .zip and extract the contents untill you see a .app file in the /Payload/ folder.
– Also I had to restart xcode4 in order to see the ‘newly’ created archive.
